Sandy and Craig were married in 1977.   In fact, we got married in a small country church about 2 miles from Lost Creek Valley Farm!  Little did we know that we would end up back where everything began. We purchased our farm from a family member in 2006 and spent a lot of time preparing for our cattle operation.  We have two sons, Cody and Dusty who have also been helping with the farm.  In 2009, we built a log home on top of a hill with a great view of the farm.  It is truly a beautiful place to live!

Craig is a shop foreman for Ken Vance Motors Volkswagon & Audi in Eau Claire and has been in the auto industry for over 40 years.  Sandy has worked in marketing and advertising since college and is now the advertising manager for Northland Buildings, a post-frame construction company based in Eau Claire.

The idea to start a grass-fed beef operation came from our desire to get the land back to a working farm and have some supplemental income for retirement.  After attending many seminars, classes and pasture walks, we made our dream a reality!  Lost Creek Valley Farm was born!

In 2009 we built a new house and moved to the farm and started our beef herd in 2014 with 4 cow-calf pairs.

Update

Our house burned down on June 21, 2015.  It was a total loss.  We spent the remainder of the year and into 2016 rebuilding.  We decided to look to the future rather than dwelling on our tragedy.  So, we built a new, better house with some of the upgrades that we wished we had done on the first one.  It turned out beautiful!  We moved into the new house in mid-February.  Here’s to a much better 2016 and beyond!
